Dr Ed Abrahamson is a highly experienced general paediatrician in London, with 33 years of flying hours.
He has held a specialist interest in emergency medicine throughout his career and set up the Paediatric Emergency Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 1995, where he was the Head of the department for two decades and worked there until June 2020.
Dr Ed has a large private practice and treats the full range of general paediatric conditions; he is particularly passionate about ensuring children receive vaccinations and avoiding unnecessary use of medication, such as antibiotics for minor viral infection. He has a genuinely holistic view of medicine, looking at the well being of the parents and other siblings in factors involving his patient's health. He actively involves parents in all decision making.
Aside from two educational medical books he has authored, he was a contributing author to the book, GROW by Frankie Bridge, published 2021 by Octopus Publishers, outlining advice and guidance for parents.

We had our first appointment with Dr Abrahamson. He was very reassuring and made my son feel very comfortable - brilliant with children. He was extremely thorough and arranged for all the necessary tests to be done. We are now awaiting results and next steps.

He’s very kind and obviously very experienced in his field. He’s examined my daughter carefully and prescribed the right medication which helped recover quite fast!

My son is 2 months old when we met Dr. Ed and he had a hard time with the feedings. He is improving a lot in weight gaining from Dr. Ed’s recommendation. It’s practical and sustainable. We’ll definitely come to Dr. Ed again if my baby needs any medical advice in the future.

Extremely reassuring. Not only with our little boy but Dr Ed took time for me as I was extremely stressed with the feeding and the bad experience I had with multiple advises from maternity nurses which was extremely overwhelming in the first weeks of postpartum

An excellent paediatrician! He always spots issues early and goes above and beyond for the children he sees and in his advice to parents (including making himself available out of hours via email which really is so kind and helpful of him). I have recommended him to many of my friends with children and they are all similarly complimentary of him.

Dr Abrahamson saw my son a couple of months back and from the first moment he was very reassuring and thorough. I truly enjoyed the visits even though I was worried about my son. His experience and the details he goes through to explain the situation are totally suitable.
