Dr Caroline Bridgewater

Dr Caroline Bridgewater is a highly dedicated Consultant Clinical Oncologist based in Sheffield, specialising in the advanced management of complex cancers. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Her clinical practice focuses on providing reassuring guidance and state-of-the-art treatments to patients navigating their cancer journey.

Her primary areas of clinical expertise include the oncological management of skull base tumours, haematological malignancies, and non-melanoma skin cancers. Dr Bridgewater is highly skilled in radiation oncology, utilising advanced techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery and precise dose fractionation to target tumours effectively while minimising impact on surrounding healthy tissue. In addition to her extensive work in radiotherapy, she also administers systemic therapies for skin cancers, ensuring a comprehensive and multi-modal approach to patient care.

Dr Bridgewater completed her specialist medical training in Sheffield and London, establishing a robust foundation in clinical oncology. She previously held a Consultant Clinical Oncologist post in Essex before returning to South Yorkshire. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as the Chair of the South Yorkshire Skin Cancer Clinical Delivery Group, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to raising standards of care. She is also actively involved in clinical research, leading groundbreaking trials aimed at improving post-operative outcomes and reducing cancer recurrence rates.
