Dr Beth Whitehurst

Dr Beth Whitehurst is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides comprehensive healthcare services for infants, children, and young people. Focusing on both community and acute child health, Dr Whitehurst adopts a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring that every young individual receives personalised support tailored to their medical and developmental needs. Her practice encompasses managing acute childhood conditions as well as guiding families through ongoing paediatric health journeys.

Dr Whitehurst completed her medical training in Glasgow, graduating as a doctor in 2000. Prior to focusing her practice on child health, she initially undertook post-graduate training in Orthopaedics. This early background in surgical and musculoskeletal medicine provided her with a broad clinical foundation before she fully transitioned into Paediatrics and community child health.

With extensive clinical interests in neurodevelopmental conditions, Dr Whitehurst frequently evaluates and supports children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, and developmental delays. Her scope of practice also includes child safeguarding leadership, acute paediatric care, and neonatal support.
