I first went to see Dr Aran Singanayagam privately in November 2025. He prescribed me new medication for my Bronchiectasis and COPD. I have been clear of lung problems since then and I am very grateful for his help.
Dr. Singanayagam was friendly and professional. I was nervous about the whole process and if I should even be there, but he made me feel at ease. I felt very cared for. He listened to me and took me seriously.
I took my 81 year old father to see Dr Aran recently. He's got asthma and COPD and has had a very hard time recovering from a dose of Covid and then Adult Whooping Cough - blue lips, breathless, coughing, fatigued, etc. His GP refused to send him to lung specialist so we felt we had no option - we needed a professional opinion. Firstly his secretary and all the people who work on the reception desk in the private section at Harefield are exceptional - highly professional and also they seem to genuinely care. One lady - Linda - was helping my father in and out of chairs as if he was her father - I was very touched. And their nurses have taken blood from my Dad twice without him feeling it or the usual massive bruising he usually gets. Dr Aran is polite, unassuming, professional, an expert in his field and all round very nice person. He listened kindly and carefully to myself and my father, ordered some tests (without over ordering and I'm impressed that the Harefield doesn't over charge) and managed to diagnose my Dad with Emphysema (which had been missed by the NHS!) and an allergy to black mould which was exacerbating his breathing issues. We have a clear plan of how to proceed, with contingencies. We couldn't be more delighted or grateful. He's a credit to himself and his profession and we feel reassured to know my Dad is under his care now. Not being able to breathe is pretty fundamental to life! Sincere thanks to Dr A and his team. All the best, John & Liz.
My experience with Dr Singanayagam was very positive he made feel at ease and confident in his advice and knowledge. He was also very empathetic and discussed both short term and future longer term treatment plans with me
It was apparent during my first consultation with Dr Aran Singanayagam in December last year that not only is he a first rate chest physician but also a first rate doctor. DUring the course of my visit - through dialoge and physical examination - he picked up all of my concerns. My husband - who accompnied me at this appointment - was equally confident that I would be looked after very well. Dr Singanayagam is arranging for further treatment - in the near futture about which I will be informed once dates have been arranged.
Dr Singanayagam was extremely polite, professional and clear in my first consultation. I attended with pre consultation nerves due to a very difficult 18 months of health problems and feelings of not being treated properly. Dr Singanayagam put me at ease, clearly explained his thoughts for future treatment and I left the consultation feeling heard and with a much more positive outlook. He clearly cares. I learned more about my medial conditions during my 30 minute consultation than I had in the last ten years. Many thanks
Dr Singanayagam was excellent - in establishing the extent and cause of my issues, and then setting out a plan on how to tackle these, both in the short term (dealing with the acute phase) and in the long term (by investigating the chronic nature of my asthma). He has a very good bedside manner as he is easy to talk to - I felt I was being listened to, and that he understood the problems I was encountering due to his expertise.
Dr Singanayagam has been firat class in all areas and has exceeded expectation. Would recommend him to anyone
