Dr Aoife Hurley

Dr Aoife Hurley is a dedicated Consultant in Neonatal Medicine and Paediatrician who provides compassionate, high-quality care for newborn infants and young children. Specialising in the care of premature infants and infants with complex medical conditions, Dr Hurley works closely with families to ensure the highest standards of medical treatment and personal support during the critical early stages of life.

Dr Hurley earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Leeds, qualifying in 2012. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and has served as a specialty advisory committee trainee representative for the college. Beyond her clinical duties, she has participated in global health education projects focused on improving newborn care standards in low-resource healthcare settings.

Her clinical practice encompasses a comprehensive range of neonatal and paediatric care. Dr Hurley maintains specific interests in neonatal resuscitation, infant nutrition and enteral feeding practices, and neonatal encephalopathy. She also possesses clinical expertise in infant physical examinations and screening protocols, including the assessment and management pathways for developmental dysplasia of the hip.
