Dr Alice Dewdney

Dr Alice Dewdney is an experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist who provides expert, empathetic care for patients diagnosed with various forms of cancer. Specialising in lower gastrointestinal malignancies and complex oncological conditions, Dr Dewdney works closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to design tailored treatment plans that address each individual's unique medical needs. Her clinical practice focuses on providing reassuring, clear guidance to help patients navigate their diagnosis and treatment pathway with confidence.

Dr Dewdney completed her medical degree (MBChB) before undertaking specialist training in Clinical Oncology in London. She subsequently earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Oncology, followed by a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine by Research (MD(Res)) evaluating neoadjuvant treatment strategies for rectal cancer. Her commitment to high standards of clinical excellence is demonstrated through her professional memberships, which include Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).

In her daily practice, Dr Dewdney has a particular interest in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) for pelvic lymph nodes as well as bone and liver metastases. Her clinical expertise encompasses lower gastrointestinal cancers, such as bowel and rectal tumours, alongside cancer of unknown primary. In addition to delivering conventional chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she actively contributes to oncology research, clinical trial portfolios, and emerging cancer therapies to ensure her patients receive modern, evidence-based care.
