- His main area of interest is the diagnosis and management of various vulval conditions. Other areas of interest include colposcopy (abnormal cervical smears), medical and surgical management of menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, menopausal symptoms, hormonal replacement therapy and recurrent miscarriages.

Mr Kamel made me feel comfortable from my very first appointment. He explained everything clearly and took extra time to explain thoroughly. He repeatedly ensured I was ok and I felt at ease to ask questions if I needed to. He was very calm and professional, and visited me in my room following surgery to check everything was ok. Dr. Kamel explained everything in detail and answered my questions very patiently. He understood my concerns and was able to provide a speedy MRI scan.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Kamel to women with similar health issues to mine i.e multiple bulky fibroids. He is very thorough/meticulous. Mr Kamel outlined the options for treatment including the pros and cons. But I appreciated the fact that he was open to discussion and took into account my preferences and concerns. Both the procedures I had under general anaesthetic went well and the care I received from Mr Kamel and his colleagues both before and after the procedures was great. I was quite a nervous patient but they all clearly explained what was happening at each stage of the procedures and put me at ease. I am grateful to Mr Kamel for taking me on as a patient. For years I had endured the many problems associated with fibroids but it is a very nice feeling indeed knowing that I no longer have those problems.
