Dr Adelqui Villa

Dr. Villa has more than two decades of experience in the fields of general psychiatry and eating disorders. He is an expert when it comes to both outpatient and inpatient care, having worked at both the Priory Hospital in Woodbourne and the Birmingham Wellbeing Centre.

He leads a specialised unit for treating eating disorders within the hospital walls of Woodbourne Priory, whilst also managing wards that cater to young adults aged 18–25 who have complex psychiatric backgrounds, including developmental issues, mental health problems, and social and family difficulties.

Appointments with Dr. Villa can be scheduled promptly, generally within 1–3 weeks of the requested date. His practice provides services dedicated to general psychiatry (for example, depression, anxiety, etc.) as well as treatments tailored specifically for those suffering from eating disorders.

Dr. Villa completed his medical training at Cordoba University in Argentina and has also completed further postgraduate training. During his career, he has worked in a variety of psychiatric services that offer innovative approaches to mental health care, including community outreach programmes and therapeutic community involvement.

Additionally, Dr Villa has previously been involved in the delivery of lectures for GPs in the West Midlands region of England. He is currently working collaboratively with other eating disorder consultants across the West Midlands, who meet regularly to discuss referrals, patients, and best practices.
