Dr Aashish Vyas, Consultant Respiratory Physician, currently works at and helps run the Elite Breathlessness Clinic at The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance. Dr Vyas graduated from the University of Manchester in 1990 with his degree in medicine, before going on to gain several post-graduate qualifications as well as complete his specialist and basic training. His post-graduate qualifications include an MD, CCT in respiratory medicine, and a membership with the Royal College of Physicians. He was appointed to his first Consultant role in 2003, where he has since become an international expert for his respiratory practice and expertise. He has also taken on the role of Lead of NHSE commissioned regional severe asthma and complex breathlessness Unit for Lancashire and South Cumbria. Outside of his clinical work, he has been appointed an Honorary Lecturer with the Lancashire Teaching Hospital Trust and leads the Severe Asthma Service as part of the Northwest Severe Asthma Network.

I have been extremely happy from my first consultation with Dr. Vyas, to my last consultation with him in hospital, I know I am getting the absolute best treatment plans possible and care. The improvement and progress I have made from my hospital stay, under Dr Vyas has been immense. He completely put me at ease, explained thoroughly his treatment plans for me and answered any questions I had, discussed my diagnosis with me in detail and what my continued treatment and drugs post hospital would be. I know that the treatment plan and drugs he prescribed for me, will continue the progress that was made in hospital. Dr. Vyas has been exceptional.

Dr Vyas sorted my respiratory problems very quickly and my chest is now very improved . Well worth the consultations and the guidance I was given was excellent.

Dr Vyas is wonderful. He listens, has cutting edge knowledge, explains what's going on in your body, and lays out a plan is treatment. He is genuinely concerned about your welfare and doesn't dismiss your concerns or worries, but rather listens and addresses them.
