Dr Aashish Vyas

Dr Aashish Vyas, Consultant Respiratory Physician, currently works at and helps run the Elite Breathlessness Clinic at The Manchester Institute of Health & Performance. He is very experienced in the treatment of respiratory conditions like asthma, undiagnosed breathlessness, COPD, chronic cough, respiratory infection, and mechanical ventilation

Dr Vyas graduated from the University of Manchester in 1990 with his degree in medicine, before going on to gain several post-graduate qualifications as well as complete his specialist and basic training. His post-graduate qualifications include an MD, CCT in respiratory medicine, and a membership with the Royal College of Physicians. He was appointed to his first Consultant role in 2003, where he has since become an international expert for his respiratory practice and expertise. He has also taken on the role of Lead of NHSE commissioned regional severe asthma and complex breathlessness Unit for Lancashire and South Cumbria. Outside of his clinical work, he has been appointed an Honorary Lecturer with the Lancashire Teaching Hospital Trust and leads the Severe Asthma Service as part of the Northwest Severe Asthma Network.
