Dr Mohan has specialist expertise in managing patients with breathlessness, wheeze, cough and recurrent chest infections. He has vast experience in treating patients with Asthma, Bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, COPD and Emphysema. He works closely with his colleagues in physiology, radiology, physiotherapy and thoracic surgery to ensure patients receive the best care. He has a busy clinical practice and is committed to delivering excellent, compassionate and safe care for every patient.
He developed the award winning Knowsley Community COPD service. Dr Mohan has specialist interest in COPD and set up the severe emphysema multidisciplinary meeting for lung volume reduction surgery and endobronchial valve insertion. Dr Mohan set up the Interventional Pulmonology service in Liverpool. This includes Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), Radial EBUS, Endobronchial stents, Endobronchial vales, Cryotherapy, Argon Plasma Coagulation and Balloon dilation.
Dr Mohan is passionate about teaching and plays an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate education. He is an invited speaker at regional and national conferenes. He has trained several registrars, fellows and consultants in thoracic ultrasound and interventional pulmonology procedures.
Dr Mohan carried out research in Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes and has 23 Publications and presented over 80 abstracts at National and International conferences. He is a specialist advisor to NICE on Endobronchial valves in pneumothorax and Thopaz chest drain.
He is an active member of leading professional bodies including the Royal College of Physicians, British Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society, World association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and British Medical Association.

My mum, sister and I attended Dr Mohan’s clinic at Broadgreen Hosp today 28th October. Dr Mohan is a lovely Dr and his duty of care towards our mother and us was second to none. He explained everything clearly and ensured my mum and us felt comfortable and respected throughout the app. Everything was explained to us and we left feeling happy with our mother’s respiratory results which were better than last time. Thank you for providing such compassionate and professional care.
Dr Mohan was very helpful and patient. Explained everything to me so that I understood what what was wrong and gave me the relevant medication needed.
Dr Mohan communicated extremely well, he was very thorough and vey helpful, he explained my symptoms in a clear manner that l fully understood, my appointment with him today was really good and l came away from it feeling that l had more clearer understanding of my condition. Dr Mohan was very easy to talk to and to ask question of, l felt that he really cared about me as his patient. All in all it was an extremely successful experience
Was brought into hospital with what turned out to be a Pulmonary Embolism. Dr Mohan took over my care and was outstanding. He explained everything, including the risks, benefits etc of each of the options for dealing with the clot. Listened to everything I said, arranged for me to continue to stay at Broadgreen rather than transfer to a hospital local to me. Came to see me once I was transferred to the step down ward and even walked along the corridors with me to see how I was. Absolutely everything was explained and advice given for discharge. I couldn’t have been in better hands and I will be forever grateful for his care and his amazing bedside manner.
Dr Kamlesh Moham was very helpful and made me feel very comfortable. He could not have done anymore ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
