Dr. Syed Shah

Dr Syed Shah is a consultant respiratory physician based in Cheadle, specialising in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of respiratory conditions. His clinical expertise covers chronic cough, shortness of breath, recurrent chest infections, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, and exercise physiology. He currently provides private consultations at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle and the Circle Cheshire Clinic in Northwich.

Dr Shah completed his MBBS at the University of Peshawar, Khyber Medical College in 2006 before progressing through general medical training and advanced specialist training in respiratory medicine. He later obtained an MD from University College Dublin and holds membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI).

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Shah has contributed extensively to medical education. He has served as a medical tutor at both the University of Limerick and University College Dublin, supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.

In his practice, Dr Shah applies a clear and structured patient-centred approach. He develops individualised management plans informed by clinical evidence and tailored to each patient’s specific respiratory needs. His work focuses on accurate diagnosis, effective long-term management, and improving overall respiratory health outcomes.
