The Holly Private Hospital, Essex is part of Aspen Healthcare. We provide a wide range of healthcare services from private GP to physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging as well as outpatients consultations and treatment in most medical specialties.

Everyone was very friendly
The hospital and especially the staff were amazing. I felt very well looked after and was kept informed throughout about what will be happening that day.
I’ve been visiting the Holly for 18 years, the have a fantastic range of consultants and booking is simple. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the hospital itself is always clean and comfortable. The only concern would be parking, it’s very difficult to find a space.
Clean professional hospital
Overall I am very happy with my experience at the Holly in terms of 5he staff and aftercare. The staff are very friendly and the Nurses are amazing, friendly and care. However, my opinion of the Holly's management has been marred, as they had tried to cancel my operation without telling my surgeon who was surprised when I told him. The reason they tried to cancel my operation is that they had booked in my Covid test 4 days before my operation when it should have been 3 days. When I asked what difference 1 day made (as I had been self isolating anyway) they simply stated it was policy and the covid test was only valid for 3 days. I asked this several times to various professionals within the Holly and they were unable to provide and answer and kept dodging the question. I was told that the director had made the decision and I asked to speak to him for an explanation and was told there was no way to speak to him. I was then given 2 hours to get to the hospital so I could have my operation. This experience has made me question whether the Holly is as good as the gold awards it proudly hangs in its coridoors. To this day I have still not received a reason as to why the covid test is valid for 3 days, however as I am still currently receiving treatment there I did not want to pursue this in fear of getting blacklisted.
Extremely clean! Minimal waiting times!
Overall very clean. Toilets need updating and attention. Nowhere to hang your coat, taps and flush should be automatic/sensor - especially during times like this etc.
Considering I was waiting to see a Consultant regarding a potentially serious issue, the staff and general process was very professional and friendly and was not at all unpleasant or intimidating.

Lovely hospital and friendly staff
My overnight stay was in a private room which was both clean and comfortable. I was regularly checked by the nursing staff until I was discharged.
