About Joint Reaction
We established Joint Reaction to bring the benefits of the collaborative approach we’ve developed in our NHS practice to our private patients. Our integrated service provides comprehensive assessment, tailored investigations, expert advice, and treatment for all types of orthopaedic concerns. We specialize in fast diagnosis and treatment for sports injuries and arthritis, offering access to specialists in each relevant field, and utilizing the latest techniques available. Through close collaboration with a network of physiotherapists, we also run joint clinics, ensuring a multi-disciplinary approach that covers both operative and non-operative treatment options.
Additionally, we offer an ongoing educational program for general practitioners, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, with many of our team members lecturing both nationally and internationally.
Referrals can be made directly to any specialist within our group, or to ‘Joint Reaction’, where we’ll ensure you’re seen by the expert most suited to address your specific needs.

Excellent surgeon and detailed explanation of the management plan regarding my condition.
Try to inform yourself as much as possible before the appointment, so you at least have an idea of the terms involved, so you can get max benefit from the appointment.
Highly recommend Mr Thomas, extremely good at what he does.
Mr Mark Thomas was professional, thorough, and reassuring. After waiting over a year for an explanation for the pain my husband had been experiencing, Mr Thomas took the time to carefully examine his back and legs and provided a clear, detailed explanation of the findings. Richard felt listened to and finally understood what was causing his pain. We are very grateful for his expertise and compassionate approach.
I was sadly given some very upsetting news that Mr Thomas would not be able to help my condition and that I would have paralysis for life. Mr Thomas delivered this news in the most respectful manner and took the time to answer all of my questions during the appointment and afterwards. He explained everything in great depth, and I truly appreciated the time and care he gave
