I've known Gavin for a number of years as he has operated on both my hands several times. What a lovely young man, he has always explained in detail what is involved in the treatment and always made me feel relaxed during the operations. The after care such as physio Gavin organised and the end result has always been successful.
Having hesitated for several years about undergoing the procedure, I need never have worried. There was minimal post op discomfort and following the removal of the cast, I was amazed how quickly I was able to return to normal. Three months down the line, I am able to undertake tasks that have been impossible for sometime. I can’t praise Mr Brigstocke enough, he really has achieved an amazing result.
Mr Brigstocke was attentive, kind, knowledgeable and fully answered my questions. I am very grateful for his help.

Dupuytren's disease (or Dupuytren's contracture) is a non-cancerous condition where the connective tissue (fascia) in the palm thickens and shortens over time, creating firm lumps (nodules) or thick cords. This progressive tissue change can eventually force one or more fingers—most commonly the ring and little finger—to bend inward toward the palm, creating a "contracture" that makes it hard to fully straighten the fingers.
