About Mr Mark Thomas
Mr Mark Thomas graduated from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1991. Following that, he completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery via his North West Thames rotation and undertook a fellowship in spinal surgery and trauma in Toronto, Canada.
Mr Thomas was appointed as a consultant at Frimley Park Hospital in 2002.
His specialist interest is in spinal surgery. He is very passionate and involved in developing and expanding spinal services in the area. Additionally, he is a fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the Spine Society of Europe.
He is married to Alison, a local GP, and has two children now both at university.

I need help with lower back pain brought on , I expect, by a fixed flexion right knee since TKR 5 years ago. All was very professional at the consultation and quickly followed up ( within 1 hour) with an MRI scan.
Mr Thomas was very welcoming and listened to me explaining my back issues. He understood what had happened to my back in previous years and gave me clear advice on what it could possibly be. He has arranged for me to have an MRI after which he said we will discuss next steps.
