Mr Mark Thomas is professional, clear, thorough, and understanding in his patient interactions. He explains complex conditions such as spinal stenosis and MRI scan results in plain terms. Mr Thomas outlines specific benefits and limitations of treatment options, including spinal decompression and microdiscectomy, instilling confidence and bringing significant pain relief. Many patients with lower back pain and sciatica benefit from his MRI-guided approach, resulting in spinal surgery for some.
Mark is very empathetic and is willing to take his time with you listen and put you at ease.
Both my son and I found the appointment relaxed, informative and encouraging.
Ran to time, well communicated in terms I could readily understand.
Very easy to talk too, and excellent at explaining details. I felt treated as an equal and as an intelligent person (This is very important and valued by the patient)Also felt able to ask all queries and concerns.
There were a few more questions I should have asked such as was there an alternative to a general anaesthetic and what percentage of his spinal operations were successful.
Mark was very thorough in his examination and then clear in describing the issues on the MRI. He also took time to discuss the specific issues I had with cycling.
I found Mr Thomas very understanding with my situation and he explained what would be the best way to trie to resolve the problem have another appointment with the results from my scan which was scheduled with in a few days after my consultation
I went to see Mr Mark Thomas on the 15/6/2026 My issue is a stenosis of the spine and various other problems Mr Thomas had a very positive & compassionate bedside manner his expertise was very impressive. I had a full neurological exam & my MRI exam was explained in a very comprehensible manner. The treatment plan was explained to me in very simple terms I was given 3 options which were clearly explained to me with an explanation of the pros & cons of each one. I feel very confident & comfortable to put my trust in Dr Thomas he has given me peace of mind and I look forward to recovering and getting my life back together. I would without a doubt highly recommend to anyone who is in need of spinal treatment. Also staff were highly professional All in all a great place to put your trust in. Mark P.
One of the best consutations I have experienced. Mark showed us the MRI results which for once I could understand as he explained it so well. Clear comments and next steps.
