Mr Ngwe Phyo

Mr Ngwe Phyo has been serving as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Foot and Ankle Surgery and Diabetic Foot Disease since 2020. With a commitment to exceptional surgical care and staying up to date with the latest advancements in foot and ankle surgery, Mr Phyo works closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans aligned with their individual needs and goals.

Focused on diagnosing and treating a diverse range of conditions affecting the lower extremities, Mr Phyo has conducted numerous procedures addressing issues such as ankle fractures, arthritis of the foot and ankle, bunions, hammer toes, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon injuries, ligament sprains and tears, neuromas, tarsal tunnel syndrome, flat feet, high arches, and diabetic foot disease.

Whether performing surgical intervention or non-surgical treatments like physical therapy or orthotics, Mr Phyo works diligently to create comprehensive treatment plans that address specific concerns, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes. Mr Phyo has performed nearly 100 bunion correction and 50 ankle arthroscopy and ankle stabilisation procedures, along with over 100 complex foot and ankle trauma procedures in his NHS practice. He graduated from the Institute of Medicine (1) Yangon in 2002. His professional journey includes basic surgical training at Royal Cornwall Hospital, orthopaedic registrar training at Frimley Park Hospital, and foot and ankle fellowship training at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, and King’s College Hospital in London.
