Excelent surgeon ,great support team.I will definitely recommend him
I felt reassured and full of confidence from the initial meeting onwards. Everything was clearly explained, there was plenty of time and opportunity for me to ask questions. Follow-up after the procedure was thorough and excellent.
Mr Hargrove has operated on both my hip and knee and I am very grateful for his professionalism and expertise and will have no hesitation in seeing him again for the other hip when the time comes. Thank you
Mr Hargrove explained everything throughout, did the job perfectly and has a very friendly bedside manner. I can thoroughly recommend him.
Quite amazing-a very invasive procedure and yet at over 85 I was walking well, allowed to carefully restart mountain biking and drive a car only 6 weeks after the operation! At no time was I concerned and felt that I was fully supported throughout-well done to the team. Some limited discomfort - Very little pain was experienced . I would just add that I was given conflicting views of the amount of use of cruthches., the use of which is important in the early stages. Thankyou
I had a full knee replacement in September 2024. This was my 6th operation on the knee and my 4th surgeon. It was very complicated as screws and staples had to be removed before the replacement could be performed. Post op I experienced stiffness to the extent the knee would not bend. Mr Hargrove explained the stiffness was due to scar tissue because of my previous operations and that while I had worked very hard on my physio I needed some help. Mr Hargrove performed a manipulation under anesthetic (MUA) in December 2024 which has been very successful. I am now walking better than before my replacement with no pain. I still need to build my leg strength and continue with my physio as the scar tissue will try and reform. Overall while the initial replacement needed a MUA I am very pleased with the outcome. Mr Hargrove was very easy to talk to, explained everything clearly and I had full confidence in him and his ability.
Richard Hargrove was very helpful and straightforward explaining everything that had been done and showing me what no to do And very pleasant person and felt confident from the first time I met him thank you Richard and have a good relaxing Christmas
Mr Hargrove was at all times extremely pleasant and professional. He answered any questions fully and clearly and made sure I was fully informed about the procedures I would undergo and any possible after effects. The surgery was very successful and my recovery has gone very well. His manner was always cheerful and reassuring and this was a great help. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone with issues similar to mine.
