I had the choice of NHS or Private procedures. After my consultation with Mr Hargrove I felt that he explained the problem with my Hip clearly and how the procedure would be carried out. He also explained in detail my part in making a full recovery which was most reassuring as this was the first time that I had been in Hospital. I have every trust in Mr Hargrove and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

He is an exceptional Surgeon who I will definitely only go with for my other knee as experienced surgeons must be hard to find . For my first ever surgery it could not of been better because of him .

I feel fortunate that I have had a very positive experience, my expectations were managed at every stage, and when I did have a minor concern, a couple of days after I came out of hospital, it was quickly and kindly dealt with. Although it was clearly a very minor concern I was treated with seriousness and my worries dispelled. My rehabilitation has been good and although I still have improvements to come I am confident of a good outcome.

10 weeks post op from 2nd hip operation in 1 year. I am delighted with the results of both operations especially the major repairs to both abductor muscles that were carried out at each hip operation. My experience with Mr Hargrove has been excellent. At my first consultation I had total confidence in him. He explained the procedures and time lines very clearly.

Mr Hargrove is a wonderful doctor and I am grateful for everything he has done for me giving me 2 new hips and hopefully now able to have some more years of active and pain free life. I was particularly grateful for the unexpected phone call I received during the Christmas hospital closure after he had heard I was unwell and how really worried I was about what was wrong. Mr Hargrove invited me to see him early next day and able , after tests , to reassure me I was going to be ok. He is an amazing surgeon but ,even more, a superb human being. Very clear pre and post op communication - shared options - very approachable . The operation itself was very successful and I was back on my feet and walking and driving faster than I expected .
