Dr Victoria Appleby is a highly dedicated Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist who specialises in the management of complex liver and digestive diseases. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she provides expert care to individuals experiencing a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatic conditions. Her clinical practice is characterised by a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatments tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Her primary areas of clinical interest include transplant hepatology, portal hypertension, and viral hepatitis. Dr Appleby is particularly passionate about viral hepatitis elimination strategies and has contributed significantly to clinical research in this field. She also possesses extensive expertise in managing autoimmune hepatitis and cholestatic liver diseases, ensuring that patients with complex, long-term conditions receive comprehensive and supportive care throughout their treatment journey.

Dr Appleby obtained her primary medical qualification from the University of Leeds in 2008. Following her graduation, she completed her postgraduate medical training within the Yorkshire and Humber region. She went on to undertake a Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree at Queen Mary University London, where her work focused on large-scale case finding for viral hepatitis in migrant populations.
