Dr. Kapil Kapur is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over two decades of experience in the treatment of gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel disease, irritable bowel disorder, liver disease, and iron deficiency. He is also an accredited endoscopist and regularly performs capsule endoscopy. He sees private patients at the Spire Methley Park Hospital, the BMI Huddersfield Hospital, and Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital.

Dr. Kapur earned his primary medical qualification at the University of Bombay in 1985, after which he went on to earn his medical doctorate in general internal medicine in 1989. He then came to the UK to further his training and gained membership with the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow. After completing his CCST in gastroenterology and general internal medicine, he was awarded a fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians in 2004.

Since his Consultant appointment, Dr. Kapur has also gained managerial experience during his time as the Clinical Director for Barnsley and lead clinician for the Gastroenterology unit. He is also an active member of the scientific research community, authoring over 20+ peer-reviewed publications and articles in renowned medical journals. He is also involved in clinical research and is currently the principal investigator for numerous gastroenterology research studies.
