Dr Shaun Wilson

Dr Shaun Wilson is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Oncologist who specialises in the comprehensive medical care of children, teenagers, and young adults. As a specialist in Paediatrics, Dr Wilson is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care to young individuals facing complex health conditions. His clinical approach emphasises clear communication and reassuring guidance, ensuring that young patients and their families feel supported throughout every stage of assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.

Dr Wilson possesses extensive expertise in managing a wide range of complex conditions in young patients, with a primary focus on solid tumours, brain tumours, and sarcomas. He serves as a clinical lead in paediatric neuro-oncology, coordinating multidisciplinary treatment strategies for young individuals with central nervous system malignancies. Beyond his work in solid and brain tumours, Dr Wilson maintains a strong clinical interest in teenage and young adult oncology, as well as advancing paediatric oncology care standards and accessibility in developing countries.

Dr Wilson earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from the University of Cape Town, alongside a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). He completed his specialist paediatric oncology training across the United Kingdom and Australia, during which he achieved a PhD in translational oncology from the University of Birmingham. Dr Wilson is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), reflecting his commitment to high clinical standards and ongoing scientific advancement in paediatric medicine.
