Dr Shahera Rahman

Dr Shahera Rahman is a compassionate Consultant Paediatrician dedicated to providing high-quality medical care for children from infancy through to young adulthood. She approaches every patient with empathy, ensuring that young people and their families feel supported, informed, and comfortable throughout their healthcare journey. Dr Rahman focuses on delivering comprehensive, child-centred care that addresses both immediate medical needs and long-term health outcomes.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of paediatric conditions, with a key interest in paediatric diabetes and young person transition services. Dr Rahman actively works to guide young individuals with chronic conditions through the transition process from paediatric services into adult care. Additionally, her clinical focus includes developmental disorders, infectious diseases, preventative health strategies, childhood nutrition, and routine immunisation programmes, utilising a holistic approach to child wellness.

Dr Rahman qualified in medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree. She subsequently completed specialist postgraduate training in paediatrics and earned membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). She remains committed to ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives in child healthcare.
