Dr. Sam Byott

Dr. Sam Byott is a highly skilled Consultant Interventional Radiologist who specialises in minimally invasive image-guided procedures. With a primary focus on vascular and venous conditions, he is dedicated to providing patients with modern, walk-in, walk-out treatments for varicose veins and thread veins. Dr. Byott utilises advanced techniques, such as endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and foam sclerotherapy, to deliver highly effective, targeted care that minimises recovery times and allows patients to return to their daily routines quickly and comfortably.

Dr. Byott graduated with his medical degree, MBChB (Hons), from the University of Manchester in 2008. He went on to complete his specialist training in Clinical Radiology and Interventional Radiology within the North West School of Radiology, achieving his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2015. To further refine his expertise, he undertook prestigious post-graduate fellowships in Interventional Radiology at a major NHS foundation trust and a world-renowned paediatric hospital in London. Dr. Byott is an active member of several professional bodies, including the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE), and he serves as a committee member for the Paediatric IR UK special interest group.

In addition to his work treating venous disease, Dr. Byott has extensive sub-specialist expertise as a Paediatric Interventional Radiologist and in vascular access. He plays a key role in the multidisciplinary management of complex vascular, renal, and paediatric conditions, performing advanced procedures such as embolisation, sclerotherapy for vascular malformations, and arterial interventions. Highly regarded as an educator, he serves as a Training Lead, organising and delivering educational programmes for medical professionals. Dr. Byott is widely recognised by his patients and colleagues for his reassuring, patient-centred approach and his commitment to clinical excellence.
