I am delighted, six months after a Fibroid Embolisation with Dr Crowe there has been around 65% reduction in the size of my fibroids and uterus. Further shrinkage is likely. The procedure is straight forward and minimally invasive, though the catheter was unpleasant, and for some hours immediately after the procedure, strong drugs were required to manage the pain; however I was completely recovered within 10 days. The abdominal stabbing pains caused by fibroid pressure ceased around three months. My stomach is measurably less swollen. I can take the right amount of HRT knowing the fibroids have no blood flowing to them, so I am healthier more generally… Over 50, two gynaecologists advised a hysterectomy. From listening to the experiences of other women I believe I would still be recovering, and struggling with exercise, after such an invasive procedure... As said by others, Dr Crowe is a recognised expert, was professional, kind, patiently explained and answered questions (before and following the procedure).
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After years of suffering with large fibroids, PCOS, chronic adenomyosis, severe bleeding, fatigue, mood swings, and anaemia with critically low iron levels, my symptoms were affecting every part of my daily life and relationships. Blood tests even raised concerns about possible cancer risk, and I was strongly advised by another gynaecologist to have a hysterectomy. Having already gone through open surgery myomectomy years ago, I did not want another invasive operation and felt there had to be other options. Choosing Uterine Artery Embolisation (UAE) with Dr. Paul was one of the best decisions I have made. Dr. Paul is an exceptional radiologist — kind, compassionate, professional, and very reassuring. He explained every step clearly and made me feel safe and informed throughout the process. His team were also fantastic. I am incredibly grateful to have found a doctor who offered an effective alternative treatment instead of immediately pushing for hysterectomy. I highly recommend Dr. Paul to any woman exploring options for fibroids or adenomyosis.
I had an 80% reduction in fibroid size 8 months after embolisation, which was a huge relief given complex surgery had been the alternative. This was in the context of multiple fibroids, stage 4 endometriosis, and two previous myomectomies. Dr Crowe and his team arranged my treatment promptly after my NHS procedure was cancelled. Within 4 weeks, my abdominal pain had resolved and bloating significantly improved. The procedure involved just an overnight stay and a short recovery. I felt very well looked after throughout and would highly recommend.
I would highly recommend Dr Crowe. He inserted my portacath in June 25 and removed it in April 26. On both occasions he explained the procedures carefully and was very reassuring. He is very friendly and caring. The portacath worked brilliantly for both receiving chemo and giving blood. It was safe, easy to use, comfortable and barely noticeable. A procedure I hope I won’t have to repeat, but wouldn’t hesitate to use Dr C again. Big thanks to him.
Dr Crowe was exceptional throughout my uterine embolisation. He was patient, empathetic, and always took time to answer my questions, which made a difficult situation much easier to manage. Thanks to his care, my symptoms improved quickly, and six months on my fibroid has shrunk by 50%. Recovery was fast and I felt supported at every step and the outcome has been life changing. Dr Crowe made a huge difference to this experience. I’m truly grateful for his support and professionalism.
I am extremely grateful to Dr Crowe for his expertise in performing my UFE procedure, and to Sister Pauletta Taylor for her thorough guidance before and after treatment. The theatre and ward teams provided excellent care, and my six-month scan shows a significant reduction in fibroid size and symptoms. Thanks also to the secretaries for their efficiency and support. Thank you Dr Crowe for performing the procedure for me, it has made big improvement to my symptoms.
I had Uterine Fibroid embolisation carried out by Dr Crowe in July 2025. The procedure was straightforward and very effective. I wish I had it done sooner, my quality of life has significantly improved since the procedure. I no longer suffer with heavy periods and cramping and am able to participate in gym activities and running something which I had put off due to the heavy bleeding, pain and low iron levels . I would highly recommend Dr Crowe and his team , they did an amazing job. I cannot thank them enough for giving me a new lease of life!
I had a fibroid embolisation with Dr. Crowe in April and made a full recovery within five days. Despite being fit and healthy, I suddenly began experiencing occasional difficulty emptying my bladder and was initially misdiagnosed. Further scans revealed large fibroids, one pressing on my bladder. Since the procedure, I’ve had no further issues and have regained my confidence. Dr. Crowe is professional, calm, and kind, and comes highly recommended.
I can't say enough good things about my consultations and procedures with Dr Crowe. Overall it has been a very positive experience. Dr Crowe explained everything perfectly and listened to my concerns. I am very happy with the overall outcome of both procedures - left and right side varicocele embolization.
