Fibroid embolization procedure. Dr Crowe and team were excellent from start to finish. The procedure has helped my symptoms immensely. My care was well organised and I had follow up scans and results in a very timely manner during the Covid 19 pandemic

Explanation

When one experiences pain and is unsure of its cause, the temptation in this digital age of is to search for your symptoms on the Internet and attempt to diagnose yourself. But you should never do that, instead you should look for the view of an experienced doctor. Dr Crowe performed an Ultrasound to show that there was no abnormality in the affected region and said that this was a case of ‘non-specific testicular pain’ and that the pain would in time go away by itself, which indeed it is. Just as well I saw him and not someone who would have recommended unnecessary surgery, as has reportedly happened to people!

Explanation

I’ve had pelvic pain since the birth of my second child in 2012. Despite numerous visits to various GPs and gynaecologists, as well as having scans and a laparoscopy, I was basically told it was all in my head. I did extensive research and found Dr Crowe , honestly it was one of the best decisions of my life. At the initial consultation he was very thorough and explained everything really well to me. He listened to my journey and seemed to genuinely want to help. In less than a year of that appointment I’ve had a CT scan which showed evidence of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, an operation (which went well and Dr Crowe explained what he was doing at all times) and a post op. I’m still able to contact Dr Crowe with questions, to which he responds back really quickly. As my pain has not completely gone away yet (but gets better each month), Dr Crowe has not just washed his hands of me. I’m am so grateful to you Dr Crowe, I no longer spend my days in bed in agony. I can do little things like wash up without having to sit down halfway through. 5***** bedside manner, knowledge and care. Truly a master in his field !
