Dr Ruth Mew was appointed as a Consultant General Paediatrician in 2014 and has worked at Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Trust, Chertsey, since 2015. Dr Mew has specialised in Paediatric medicine for over 20 years and this has provided her with the opportunity to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of childhood illness and problems. In her NHS role, she manages a broad array of general paediatric conditions in outpatients clinic and works in a busy NHS Children's and Young People's Emergency Department. She can help address a wide range of concerns including; infant feeding, weaning, gastroesophageal reflux, abdominal pain, constipation, headaches, rashes, breathing difficulties, coughing, asthma, wheezing, eczema, lymph nodes, urinary tract infections, viral infections and recurrent infections. Dr Mew has special interest in paediatric respiratory medicine and allergy.  She has specialist training in allergy (MSc Allergy) and lots of expertise in managing allergic and respiratory conditions.
