Dr Ruth James is an accomplished Consultant General Surgeon specialising in breast surgical care and oncoplastic procedures. Committed to delivering high-quality clinical outcomes and compassionate patient care, she supports patients through diagnostic evaluations, surgical treatment plans, and post-operative recovery. Her approach prioritises clear communication and clinical precision, ensuring that patients feel informed, reassured, and confident throughout every stage of their surgical treatment journey.

Dr James earned her medical degree from the University of Manchester Medical School before completing her higher surgical training within the Oxford region. To further refine her clinical expertise, she undertook a prestigious National Training Interface Group (TIG) Oncoplastic Fellowship at a renowned breast institute. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in professional leadership and serves as Chair of the International Committee for the Association of Breast Surgery.
