Seen 20 minutes before my appointment. What a lovely Dr Mr Rupert Wharton very welcoming explained everything clearly.
Seen very promptly. Mr Wharton clearly explained the three options available to me with likely outcomes. He reassured me on further options should I choose the least intrusive process.
Mr Wharton is very personable, calm and empathetic Consultant. He carefully examined my injured hand and fingers, was thorough in his diagnostics and treatment plan. He takes time to listen and then to provide clear actions and expected outcomes. The treatment he recommended worked and I wouldn't hesitate to see him again should I have any further need.
Mr Wharton was punctual, knowledgeable and pleasant. Recommended
I went to see Mr Wharton following a ski accident where I had injured my thumb and had an upcoming triathlon race that I very much wanted to proceed with. He was kind, professional and very clear about all of the different permutations of injury I could be experiencing and instructed an x ray and MRI to clarify the extent of the injury. Feedback was speedy and informative with clear instruction for full recovery.
Mr Wharton is as good as it gets, when hoping for the best consultant.
Check up involving an X-ray and consultation. All done on time with good outcomes. Very pleased.
Consultant was very pleasant and explained everything clearly. Unfortunately the appointments were running over an hour late
Unfortunately, they were running behind schedule. About 10 mins after my appointment time I was advised that I would not be seen for around 45 minutes. About 45 mimutes later I was advised that I was next in line. I was eventually seen about 80 minutes after my appointment time. Whilst delay was frustrating the communication was good and understand the delay created by unrealistic time per patient schedule.
I would highly recommend Mr Rupert Wharton. He combines excellent clinical judgement with a calm, thoughtful and reassuring manner, and communicates clearly in a genuinely patient-centred way. As a fellow clinician, I particularly value his professionalism and attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend him to both patients and colleagues.
