Dr. Robert Padwick

Dr. Robert Padwick is a highly accomplished Consultant General Surgeon and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care, he provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments and individualised surgical management for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. His clinical approach balances advanced technical precision with clear communication, ensuring that patients feel fully informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout every stage of their treatment.

Specialising in both general and colorectal surgical procedures, Dr. Padwick possesses extensive expertise in keyhole laparoscopic techniques and lower gastrointestinal interventions. His clinical focus encompasses the diagnosis and management of bowel cancer, diverticular disease, pilonidal disease, and pelvic floor dysfunction related to bowel health. Additionally, he routinely performs diagnostic and therapeutic lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, alongside proctology procedures for conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, perianal skin tags, and rectal prolapse. He also regularly evaluates complex symptoms, including rectal bleeding and persistent alterations in bowel habit.

Dr. Padwick earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) medical degree and subsequently completed structured postgraduate training in general surgery. Further demonstrating his dedication to clinical excellence and training, he holds a Master’s degree in Medical Education (MMedEd). He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Eng) and maintains active professional memberships with respected specialist bodies, including the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) and The Pelvic Floor Society.
