Dr Rita Arya is a highly accomplished Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. In her clinical practice, she serves as an Associate Clinical Director for Women's Health and an Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to improving healthcare delivery. Dr Arya specialises in managing both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions, ensuring that every patient receives personalised and reassuring support throughout their healthcare journey.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Arya has established herself as a leading expert in maternal and foetal medicine, high-risk pregnancy management, and preterm birth prevention. She is particularly passionate about labour ward care, leading foetal monitoring initiatives and the implementation of safety protocols, such as Group B Streptococcus screening for women in labour. Her gynaecological expertise encompasses outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy, urogynaecology, and early pregnancy care. Additionally, she is actively involved in clinical research, contributing to major national trials focused on pre-eclampsia and pregnancy outcomes to help advance the standards of maternal care.

Dr Arya obtained her primary medical qualification, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. Following her undergraduate training, she pursued postgraduate specialisation in the United Kingdom, achieving Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). She is also an active member of professional bodies, including the British Maternal and Foetal Medicine Society, and has contributed her expertise to regional clinical networks as a Deputy Clinical Director.
