After being advised by the NHS that I needed a hysterectomy, I set out to find a surgeon who would encompass everything I felt I needed to make my journey as easy as possible. I was looking for someone who was compassionate, caring, considerate, a good listener, easy to talk to, and empathetic. I also wanted a surgeon who was friendly, knowledgeable, a great communicator, who would answer the hard questions and who had a great reputation. I set a very high bar. Impossible task, right? Wrong, I found him, Dr Otify and he didn't disappoint. From the very first consultation, I knew I was in good hands. He was everything I had hoped for: kind, patient, and incredibly skilled. He took the time to listen to my concerns and answered every question honestly, even the difficult ones. His friendly and reassuring manner made a daunting experience feel manageable. I also have to mention his secretary, Aimee, who was outstanding. She responded to my emails and calls very quickly, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The operation itself was a success. I came out of surgery asking if it had actually been done, I had no pain., no gas pain. I truly believe this is a reflection of his skill and expertise as a surgeon. I was up and walking within a couple of hours and went home the next day. I couldn't believe how well I felt. I can't praise Dr Otify enough. He truly has a gift. I have been so fortunate to have been under his care. I could not be happier to have recieved good news in my last visit. Dr Otify provided with the best care I could have wished for. His calm, patience, professionalism were outstanding! Clear communication

Overall a very good experience with Dr Otify and his team. I chose him as a consultant based upon his specialism in minimally invasive surgery. Initially, after the first consultation I was concerned that I did not have sufficient information to make the necessary decisions, but perhaps I had not asked the right questions. Dr Otify’s manner was very professional, polite and concerned but slightly reserved. Once I was in hospital for the procedure, Dr Otify had a warmer approach and provided all the necessary information to put me at ease. At the follow-up appointment he was extremely thorough and informative of the various options available to me and was very supportive of my final decision. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Otify as a professional, thorough, forward thinking consultant.

Mr Otify has a very calm and friendly manner which makes him very easy to talk too. I was able to speak about my concerns and discuss all options. He listened and took what I wanted seriously. I felt I was in safe hands and post surgery I feel I have had the best care and I’m feeling so much better I would recommend him to my friends and family

Dr Otify Is excellent at what he does, in my experience but also a couple of other patients I have conversations with during my visits to the Nuffield. I was seen very quickly and efficiently, exactly what you want when faced with a potentially scary diagnosis. My after surgery pain was zero (apart from the stitches) but nothing unexpected.
