Dr Debarati Dutta

Dr Debarati Dutta is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom. She has over 20 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and completed specialist training in the East Midlands Deanery. She has more than seven years’ experience as a Consultant at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

She currently leads Maternal Medicine, Gynaecology Governance, and Colposcopy services across the Northern Care Alliance, including Fairfield, Rochdale, and Oldham hospitals. Her clinical practice covers the assessment and management of a broad range of gynaecological conditions.

Her areas of clinical interest include general gynaecology, fertility-related conditions, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders, uterine fibroids, menopause and post-reproductive health, cervical and vulval pathology, endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She is experienced in the medical and surgical management of these conditions.

She is proficient in laparoscopic, open, and vaginal surgical techniques, as well as advanced hysteroscopic procedures. Her procedural practice includes diagnostic and operative interventions for gynaecological conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Dr Dutta is involved in medical education and research and holds a position as Senior Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester. She contributes to teaching and training within obstetrics and gynaecology services.
