Dr Richard Tomlinson

Dr Richard Tomlinson is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician who provides dedicated medical care for infants, children, and young people. Working with a focus on compassionate and patient-centred care, Dr Tomlinson supports families through the diagnosis and management of both acute and long-term childhood health conditions. His reassuring approach ensures that parents and carers feel supported, informed, and confident in every aspect of their child's healthcare journey.

With broad expertise in community child health and acute general paediatrics, Dr Tomlinson manages a wide range of paediatric illnesses and developmental concerns. His areas of special clinical interest include neurodisability, complex physical disabilities, and paediatric neurological conditions such as childhood seizures. Working alongside multidisciplinary care teams, he conducts detailed clinical evaluations and designs individualised management plans to help young patients achieve their full potential.

Dr Tomlinson completed his foundational medical training with a Bachelor of Medical Science degree alongside a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree. To further advance his clinical and academic expertise, he also completed a Master of Science degree. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, demonstrating a continuous commitment to professional excellence, evidence-based practice, and high standards of paediatric care.
