Dr Richard Parker

Dr Richard Parker is a liver specialist caring for people with all types of liver disease, from primary care referrals to liver transplantation. He has particular expertise in steatotic liver disease (sometimes called 'fatty liver') and liver disease caused by alcohol. In addition to his NHS role, Dr Parker is an honorary associate professor at the University of Leeds and is an active researcher in liver disease with mutiple peer-reviewed papers. 

Dr Parker's NHS practice is at St James's Hospital in Leeds, where he is part of the tertiary liver team that manages complex liver disease from across the north of England. He is an honorary associate professor at the University of Leeds reflecting his research activity in liver medicine.
