Dr Richard Iles

Dr Richard Iles is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine. He provides expert, reassuring care for infants, children, and young people presenting with a wide variety of respiratory conditions. His clinical approach centres on delivering meticulous diagnostic evaluations and clear, tailored management plans designed to support long-term lung health and overall well-being for young patients and their families.

Dr Iles earned his medical qualification from the University of London in 1985. He completed comprehensive specialist training in Paediatrics across major teaching centres in London and Liverpool, followed by research fellowships in Edinburgh and Toronto. A respected academic as well as clinician, Dr Iles has served as a Senior Lecturer in Paediatrics and has contributed significantly to national quality improvement programmes in child health. He has also maintained active involvement with professional bodies, including the British Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society.
