Dr Rajiv Rampat is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist currently practicing at East Kent University Hospitals NHS Trust and seeing private patients at Benenden Hospital and KIMS Hospital. Dr Rampat specialises in the comprehensive management of coronary heart disease and oversees the primary angioplasty service for Kent, ensuring emergency treatment for individuals diagnosed with heart attacks.

Dr Rampat completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2002 followed by his specialist cardiology training in the South London deanery. He later undertook a fellowship at the Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, training under the guidance of Dr Chevalier, a globally recognised interventional cardiologist.

Dr Rampat’s expertise spans the spectrum of general and interventional cardiology, specialising in the placement of coronary stents for the treatment of angina and heart attacks. His clinical services include various aspects of cardiology, such as heart failure, arrhythmia management, and advanced imaging techniques like cardiac CT.

Met Dr Rampat earlier today to gain a second opinion regarding a Pace and Ablation procedure that I have been offered. Dr Rampat outlined the procedure and his suggestions as to alternative options were clear and precise. We came away from the appointment knowing what direction to take! Thanks Alan
