Dr Piera Santullo

Dr Piera Santullo is a dedicated Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine who delivers patient-centred, holistic care for individuals recovering from major illness, complex trauma, and neurological conditions. Taking an empathetic and professional approach, Dr Santullo focuses on treating the whole person rather than just the condition, designing bespoke recovery pathways that help patients achieve their functional potential, rebuild independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Specialising in neurorehabilitation, complex trauma recovery, and pain management, Dr Santullo treats individuals experiencing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, progressive neurological conditions, stroke, and polytrauma. Her clinical practice features advanced expertise in spasticity management, gait analysis, lower limb prosthetic rehabilitation, and targeted interventional pain procedures. Working alongside a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, she oversees specialised, medically-led rehabilitation programmes crafted to address physical impairments, functional mobility, and long-term health goals.

Dr Santullo earned her medical degree from the University of Naples in 2009, presenting research on disability and impairment. She completed her specialist higher training in physical and rehabilitation medicine in 2015, having also achieved a university diploma in osteopathy and physical medicine from Bobigny University in 2014. Furthermore, she completed advanced training in pain medicine in Hungary, qualifying as a certified Pain Interventional Sonologist. Dr Santullo is a Fellow of the European Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, a member of the Royal College of Physicians, and an active member of the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine, participating in its specialised trauma and musculoskeletal clinical interest groups.
