Dr Philip Corbett

Dr Philip Corbett is an experienced Consultant Paediatric Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care for infants, children, and young people. Known for his compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Corbett works closely with families to ensure that young patients receive individualised care tailored to their unique medical needs. His practice spans general paediatric surgery as well as highly specialised surgical interventions for neonates and young children.

Dr Corbett graduated in medicine from Liverpool Medical School in 2000. He subsequently completed extensive higher postgraduate training in paediatric surgery across major teaching centres in London and Melbourne. To further advance his expertise in complex lower gastrointestinal disorders, he undertook a dedicated clinical fellowship in Paediatric Colorectal Surgery.

In his clinical practice, Dr Corbett focuses on lower gastrointestinal surgery, neonatal surgical conditions, and complex congenital defect repairs. His areas of interest include the management of congenital ano-rectal malformations, Hirschsprung's disease, and paediatric faecal incontinence. Dr Corbett is committed to utilising modern, minimally invasive surgical techniques whenever appropriate, aiming to minimise discomfort and support optimal post-operative recovery for his patients.
