Dr. Paul Jose

Dr Jose is an accomplished Consultant General Surgeon who delivers high-quality, patient-centred care. He focuses on utilising modern surgical techniques to address a comprehensive range of general surgical and gastrointestinal conditions. Dedicated to achieving the best possible clinical outcomes, Dr Jose prioritises clear communication, ensuring patients feel fully supported and informed throughout their care pathway.

His clinical practice covers a wide variety of general and upper gastrointestinal surgical procedures, with expertise in keyhole, robotic, and minimally invasive techniques. Dr Jose has particular clinical interests in the surgical management of gallbladder disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, and various types of hernias, including inguinal, femoral, incisional, abdominal wall, and hiatus hernias. Furthermore, he routinely performs diagnostic gastroscopy, fundoplication, appendicectomies, small bowel investigations, and minor surgical treatments for lipomas, sebaceous cysts, and haemorrhoids.

Dr Jose earned his medical qualification at St John's Medical College and completed postgraduate surgical training at Kasturba Medical College. He subsequently undertook extensive higher surgical training in both the United Kingdom and the United States, which included a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Iowa, as well as specialised upper gastrointestinal training. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) and holds Member status (MRCS), demonstrating his dedication to ongoing professional development and high standards in modern General Surgery.
