Mr Paul Brewer

Mr Paul Brewer is an esteemed Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon who specialises in a comprehensive range of spinal pathologies. With a clinical focus on adult degenerative conditions, spinal trauma, and metastatic disease of the spine, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. He is highly motivated by the rapid technological advancements and evolving surgical techniques within his field, ensuring that his patients benefit from modern, evidence-based treatment options.

Mr Brewer completed his medical degree at Warwick Medical School, qualifying in 2010. He was subsequently appointed as an Academic Junior Doctor, during which time his interest in clinical research and education began to flourish. He completed his basic surgical training in the West Midlands before returning to Yorkshire for higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics. To further refine his expertise, he completed two prestigious fellowships: a twelve-month senior spinal surgery fellowship at an AO-recognised centre in Brisbane, Australia, and a subsequent twelve-month fellowship in Birmingham. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics and holds professional memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Association of Spinal Surgeons.

In his clinical practice, Mr Brewer provides expert care for conditions affecting all areas of the spine, from the cervical spine to the pelvis. His expertise encompasses spinal decompressions, fusions, deformity corrections, and the management of spinal tumours and traumatic spinal cord injuries. Alongside his clinical commitments, he is deeply involved in medical education and research, serving as an Academic Training Programme Director for higher surgical trainees.
