Dr. Muzafar Hawramy

Dr. Muzafar Hawramy is a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who provides expert, patient-centred mental health care for adults. Working with an empathetic and reassuring clinical approach, Dr. Hawramy delivers comprehensive psychiatric assessments and structured management plans tailored to individual needs. He is committed to fostering a supportive environment where patients feel listened to, empowering them to navigate complex emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges effectively.

Dr. Hawramy has specialist expertise in adult psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and neurodevelopmental conditions. He maintains a deep clinical focus on the brain-mind interface, examining how disruptions in neurological development affect thoughts, emotions, perception, and behaviour. His clinical work includes diagnosing and managing conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, motor disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and complex psychiatric difficulties associated with underlying neurological conditions.

Dr. Hawramy completed his core psychiatry training alongside higher specialist training in intellectual disability psychiatry. In addition to his psychiatric qualifications, he holds a Master of Science in Clinical Neurology from University College London as well as a postgraduate degree in Medical Education. Dr. Hawramy is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, a Fellow of the British Neuropsychiatric Association, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Alongside his clinical practice, he serves as a Clinical Supervisor and Educational Supervisor for psychiatry trainees and has authored research publications in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry.
