Dr Amber was kind and thoughtful but also incredibly helpful and professional. The experience didn’t feel like an assessment but more of a friendly conversation.
Dr Amber is an excellent physician and a wonderful human being.
Easy, straight to the point, and covered the areas that we had discussed previously covering. Went through and developed upon areas already discussed, and talked through points that we had agreed to cover over time.
Dr Amber is highly knowledgeable, empathetic, and deeply compassionate. Her ability to support the diagnosis of ADHD in children who do not present in more obvious ways, such as through impulsivity or frequent interrupting, has been incredibly valuable. She takes a thoughtful and proactive approach to explaining ADHD, helping both of my children understand how it presents uniquely for each of them. Her way of communicating this has been warm, reassuring, and truly heartening. In addition, her exceptional knowledge of both autism and ADHD, and her understanding of how the two can interact, has been greatly appreciated. She has shown patience and genuine care throughout the process of helping us find the most appropriate medical support for each child. It can be difficult to find an assessor who is both empowering and realistic about neurodiversity, but Dr Amber achieves this with great sensitivity. She explains complex ideas, such as the relationship between anxiety, mental health, and AuDHD, in clear and accessible ways, which has been incredibly helpful. This approach is especially refreshing in a field where families can sometimes encounter negative stereotypes or patronising attitudes. As a parent with some awareness of neurodiversity, I have particularly valued how Dr Amber has encouraged and empowered both my children and me to have our voices heard. She genuinely values our perspectives and feedback, and allows our experiences to guide the conversation, while still maintaining clear professional boundaries. At the same time, she carefully guides us in understanding ...
Read moreDr Sadiq was professional, thorough and very clear throughout the assessment process. She took a balanced approach, considering input from both parents and the school, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I felt confident in her clinical judgement and would highly recommend her.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can present differently in girls and boys. We have outlined some of these differences from research. Girls may be more likely to: Experience more internalizing symptoms (e.g., heightened anxiety, hyperactivity which is internalised and can lead to day dreaming) Show less directly observable symptoms Have lower self-esteem Show more inattention Boys may be more likely to: Experience more externalising symptoms (e.g., hyperactivity, impulsivity) Show

Here are some Eleos Clinic reflections from Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2022. As a child and family team, we assess and help to support children, young people and families where there are neurodivergent or neurodevelopmental symptoms. We see a range of children from 3-20 years old who present with their unique profiles of str

At Eleos Clinic, we see children, young people and families from a range of backgrounds who are often feeling a combination of emotions and thoughts. They often arrive feeling unsure or uncertain of what or why they are presenting with difficulties. This can include feelings of loss, confusion, and shame, and we meet many people experi
