my son attended for an ASD review and also a psychiatric assessment. The initial issue was making an appointment as we requested in person as opposed to online. This seem to slow the process down considerably, however once we got the dates everything went smoothly. The appointment for his ASD assessment went well and was followed up by an online meeting for ourselves as parents to go through the findings etc. We knew what to expect moving forward and have been offered CBT for support. However, the appointment to see the psychiatrist was not as easy to obtain and even when appointments were changed they were then changed without discussion with ourselves . My husband took my son to the appointment as I was with my daughter. We were not told that we would be needed for a chat at the start of the meeting otherwise I would have been there. We were told of our sons various diagnosis following the assessment ie Tourettes, OCD, depression and anxiety. We were told we could discuss any concerns with the psychiatrist after the report came out. Naturally, getting a handful of diagnosis, as was the case would lead to questions, I tried to make contact with the consultant to chat through options for care but would only get emails back and never the option to discuss anything, I was just told it was all in the report. I don't think I need to point out that when you feel the need to send your son to a psychiatrist and get told there are various things going on being told that due to the complex nature of the issues found he would be better handed over to CAMHS for a multidisciplinary a...

. Admin can sometimes be a little bit hit and miss and I occasionally need to chase things myself after being told I will be contacted. But otherwise good and can be reached easily via email phone and WhatsApp so even if I need to follow-up myself, I'm never waiting long for a reply. Everyone I've spoken to has been kind and professional.

The service has been great!! Easy to contact if needed and good communication. Team are understanding and very empathetic seeing that they are dealing with neurodiverse individuals. Would recommend this service to anyone

Dr Barack was very supportive and ensured a diagnosis to support mental health.

The doctor that we saw was great but the admin was horrendous. We had to chase more than 3 times to get the report. Despite the patient coordinator saying they will call back, they hardly did except once. I am still waiting for a recommendation for a CBT therapist and been waiting 4 days since I last chased - overall it is this type of service that let’s this place down.

Online assessment for teen child, the psychiatrist gave us a good understanding of what she thought and how it impacted my daughter's life.
