Dr Riza Arapi

Dr Riza Arapi is a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry with over 20 years of clinical experience across the United Kingdom and Switzerland. He can provide assessment and treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Dr Arapi completed his psychiatric training in Switzerland and has held senior clinical positions at leading Swiss hospitals and healthcare institutions, in addition to establishing and running a private psychiatric practice in Zurich. He has practised within both the Swiss and UK healthcare systems and currently holds a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist post with Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust while also providing private psychiatric care.

He uses a holistic approach that considers the interaction between mental and physical health, lifestyle factors and the effects of stress on psychological wellbeing. In addition to the diagnosis and management of psychiatric disorders, he has a particular interest in stress, burnout prevention and mental resilience.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Arapi is committed to mental health education, taking psychiatric knowledge into practical strategies that support individuals and organisations in understanding mental health, promoting resilience and developing healthier approaches to wellbeing in both personal and professional settings.
