Within the field of Paediatrics, Dr Farooqi possesses sub-specialty expertise in Paediatric Oncology and Paediatric Haematology. He serves as a Clinical Lead for red cell disorders, taking a primary role in managing complex conditions such as sickle cell anaemia and thalassaemia. Additionally, he works extensively in paediatric cancer services, contributing to inpatient, outpatient, and day-case chemotherapy care alongside comprehensive supportive management for children diagnosed with malignancies.

Dr Farooqi completed his medical degree and postgraduate qualifications in child health, gaining specialist status on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Paediatrics. He collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including clinical nurse specialists, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure seamless, holistic care tailored to each young person's individual needs.
