Having seen quite a few neurologist now I have to say that dealing with Miss Murphy was one of my top experiences in terms of professionalism, caring and warmth. She asked questions regarding how I felt about things and listened, offered feedback that was both helpful in a medical and human way. Highly recommend!
I can't recommend Dr Murphy enough, after 5 years of being told that the pain wasn't that back and I would be fine by the NHS. It was like someone finally understood my pain. She was so professional and calm and explained everything to me. Showed me what my MRI is showing and where my nerve was compressed so I could understand myself. The day of the surgery, it was terrified as it was my first surgery but her calm prescence really calmed me down. She came to check on me daily post surgery and answer any questions I had and honestly she was so great, I have recommended her to many family members. She gave me a new life and I can't thank her enough.
Miss Murphy was very helpful and clearly explained the issues and proposed treatment and risks.

I have been under Mary's care since 2023, and everything has been excellent. She is knowledgeable, professional, and always takes the time to listen and provide the best advice and support. I would highly recommend her services. If i could give more stars I would!
Mary is an extraordinary surgeon ~ who explains everything so clearly. I felt very vulnerable with my meningeoma diagnosis, her kind, calm and steady reassurance and presence helped me so much. I am indebted to her brilliance. How lucky we all are dear Mary x

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) has an increasing role to play in the treatment of neurological diseases. Currently, SRS offers a non-invasive outpatient treatment option for complexly located brain tumours and neurovascular lesions. But SRS systems such as Gamma Knife are also increasingly recognised as an alternative treatment option for functional neurological conditions such as tremor, epilepsy, and some psychiatric disorders.

Cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) arise when an abnormal tangle of blood vessels occurs in the brain as a result of an abnormal connection between an artery and vein. These can have serious consequences such as haemorrhaging, stroke, brain damage and seizures. Gamma Knife radiosurgery represents a massive improvement in the treatment options for AVMs, as a targeted and precise, non-invasive approach.
