Ms Lucia Dolan

Dr Lucia Dolan is a Consultant Gynaecologist & Subspecialist in Urogynaecology at the Belfast City Hospital, with Belfast Health & Social Care Trust. She qualified from Queen's University Belfast and undertook postgraduate specialist training first in General Practice, then in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Northern Ireland and subspeciality training in urogynaecology. Dr Dolan spent several years doing research in urogynaecology in Manchester and Newcastle upon Tyne where she obtained an MD degree. In 2004 Dr Dolan took up a consultant appointment at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh where she stayed until 2011. She is currently a Consultant Gynaecologist & Subspecialist in Urogynaecology at the Belfast City Hospital where she is also Clinical Director for Gynaecology, Sexual Reproductive Health & Genitourinary Medicine, and the Clinical Lead for the Northern Ireland Centre for mesh-related problems.

Dr Dolan subspecialises in urogynaecology. She routinely sees and treats patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction. She also offers general and adolescent gynaecological services.

Dr Dolan has a keen interest in research. She has authored numerous publications in the field of urogynaecology and presented her work nationally and internationally. Dr Dolan chaired the UK Continence Society annual scientific meeting in Belfast in 2016.
