Following Mr Ramesh's higher surgical training, he joined the Specialist register for Orthopaedic Surgery in 2005. Only one year later he was awarded the DePuy fellowship and then the International American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society's travelling fellowship, the following year. These fellowships have given Mr Ramesh the opportunity to train with surgeons across North America, including New York, Toronto, Boston and Washington, to name but a few.

Mr Ramesh actively participates in clinical research and academic development, having been invited to present his work both nationally and internationally at numerous Orthopaedic conferences. In addition to these invited lectures and international presentations, he also has publications in peer reviewed journals.

Practicing as part of the team of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons at Kingston Hospital, he also sees patients at Parkside Hospital, New Victoria Hospital, New Maldon Diagnostics and Kingston Private Health . He provides a consultant led foot and ankle service as well as offering second opinions of complex foot and ankle cases. Mr Ramesh strives to provide the best possible patient care, dedicating time to working closely with his colleagues to help reduce patient recovery time and improve surgical outcomes.

My son had a similar operation earlier in the year without the implant on his toe and recovered very well and so I went to Mr Ramesh to advise me on the problem on my toe. I had a cartiva implant and prior to agreeing to the surgery, Mr Ramesh clearly explained the procedure, the pros and cons and the the risks. This helped us come to an informed decision to go ahead. It is now 7 weeks after the procedure and I am well on the way to a comfortable full recovery.

I saw Mr Ramesh at the New Vic Hospital for a lower leg injury following a referral from a physio who had sent patients to him previously. He saw me the very next day and, having assessed me, re-assured me that this was a muscle tear rather than Achilles. He sent me for a scan later that day which confirmed his initial thoughts and then provided me with the necessary protective boot and physio to assist my recovery. Mr Ramesh was very professional, friendly and took the time to explain everything to me. I particularly appreciated him calling to deliver the result of the scan before his time off over Christmas.

Mr Ramesh is an excellent surgeon - he is very professional, kind, empathetic and explains all the steps of the process and he makes sure to stay close to all those steps, pre and post-surgery. He takes the time to explain all the detail (procedure steps, x-rays, recovery wellbeing etc) and he makes sure you feel in control of your body and health. I felt very secure throughout the entire experience.

Mr Ramesh was extremely pleasant and thorough in explaining procedures and aftercare. I chose him as my consultant due to his expertise in the treatment of Morton's Neuroma and although I am just 6 weeks post surgery all appears successful. Any worries I had pre and post surgery were explained and I was put at ease.

Thank you, Mr Ramesh, for the work and the effort that he has put into getting my foot into good order. I have followed his advice and my foot continues to improve. I am delighted to see what a difference this surgery has already made and I have no doubt that in due course this progress will continue. Thank you also to Amy for her help in getting my surgery organised. It can't be easy for you all in these challenging times.

I cannot fault the treatment I received during my recent visits. The consultations were very informative and Mr Ramesh’s manner, very empathetic. He took great trouble to answer my questions. It is not always easy to understand matters medical, as they are presented mostly in Latin. I came away, feeling reassured.

Pal treated me for an injury where I had fractured my right foot. I was able to get x rays immediately and he waited for me and gave me a full explanation of his assessment in plain English. Pal quickly identified the issue, was excellent with his advice and delivery and I would whole heartedly recommend his professional services to anyone. Hopefully I won’t need to but I would be happy to use him again should another injury arise.

    Foot Pain
I saw Mr Ramesh at New Victoria Hospital due to severe foot pain because of over 3 years of Plantar Fasciitis. I made the appointment within 4 days of ringing. Not only did Mr Ramesh see me on time, but thoroughly discussed my foot issues with me, suggested an x-Ray, which I presumed would be done at a later date. But no, this was carried out immediately and I was back in his office 15 minutes later with clear x-rays of my feet. It was suggested that I receive a steroid injection in my feet to try and eliminate the pain. Again I thought this would be done at a later date. 5 minutes later I had the injections. Not feeling better yet but I was told they take a while to work. All in all I was more than impressed with the whole experience. Something which could have taken over 3 visits was completed in one and took just over one hour. Brilliant service! Thank you.

My surgery was done within three weeks after my first consultation with Dr. Ramesh despite the circumstances of the COVID pandemic when planned surgeries have been cancelled en masse. I had painful bunions on both feet, which Dr. Ramesh operated on at the same time. The whole process - from the surgery to the recovery - was thoroughly explained to me in a very friendly and professional manner. The surgery and the recovery period were absolutely painless and I was able to move around, wearing the orthopaedic shoes provided from the very beginning. Six weeks after the surgery, I can walk in my own shoes painlessly. Overall I am extremely happy with the way the whole process was handled by Dr. Ramesh and his team. Thank you Dr. Ramesh!
