Mr Vivek Kumar has a specialised in Incontinence and Erectile Dysfunction. He offers a complete management of female urinary incontinence that includes the tests and different conservative and surgical options to treat this such as tapes, fascial slings and colposuspension depending on patient's need. He has been dealing with complex cases that have not responded to the treatment provided elsewhere. Mr Kumar can offer various treatments for erectile dysfunction and Peyronie's disease. He has also specialised in urethroplasty for urethral strictures, with or without using inner lining of the cheek to reconstruct the urethra. He performs most surgeries as single stage.

Academic background

Mr Vivek Kumar did his Masters in General Surgery from Delhi University and subsequently completed his training in Urology from the South Yorkshire Deanery spending most of his time in Sheffield and Doncaster. He did his basic science research from the University of Sheffield on Purinergic neuro-transmission in functionally abnormal human urinary bladders. He did European Fellowships in Female Urology/ Continence at Padova, Italy and in Neuro-Urology at Leuven, Belgium. Mr Kumar is currently working as a General and Reconstructive Urologist at the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals and is the clinical lead. He is also the Assistant Director of the Cancer Services care group. He has established continence, erectile dysfunction and reconstructive urological services in Doncaster.
