Mr Timothy John

Mr Timothy John is a Consultant General Surgeon currently working at the private practise BMI The Hampshire Clinic and his current NHS post is Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His areas of specialism are General, Hepatobiliary and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery and his areas of interest include advanced laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic groin hernia surgery and laparoscopic anti-reflux / hernia procedures.

Dr John graduated from Welsh National School of Medicine, Cardiff, in 1987 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees. He also completed a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh in 1996. He has a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Additionally, Dr John received the National Bronze Clinical Excellence Award in 2009. He also utilises his expertise to teach GPs regarding his areas of interest. He also has professional publications regarding hepatobiliary and minimal access surgery.
